Discovery Life is one of South Africa's fastest growing life insurers and you and your family will have peace of mind with their funeral cover. The funeral plan provides cover for the main member and up to three spouses and up to five children. The cover is provided free of charge.

Enjoy peace of mind for your family when you join KeyFIT. You and your family will have funeral cover of up to R15 000 for the main member and spouse and up to R7 500 for children. You (and your spouse, if applicable) need to complete a Vitality Check to get higher funeral cover.

Need to know

You can get up to R15 000 funeral cover for you and your family when you belong to KeyFIT. The amounts you are covered for depends on if you have done a Vitality Check (cholesterol, blood pressure, glucose and weight assessment):

• If you are on a family membership, both you and your spouse need to complete a Vitality Check to get the increased funeral cover payout within the last 12 months prior to the claim.
• You must make a claim for a benefit within three months of the date of death.
• You need to nominate your beneficiaries in the Beneficiary Nomination Form you will receive.
• The main member on the KeyCare Plan must be older than 18 and younger than 65 years old when you join KeyFIT to qualify for the funeral benefit.
• You will receive a funeral cover membership certificate that you need to keep in a safe place.

• There are certain rules on your policy. These rules are in your funeral cover membership certificate.

Get Started

Once you have joined KeyFIT, you will receive a Beneficiary Nomination Form and your funeral cover membership certificate. Your membership certificate contains all the details and rules of your cover and you must keep it in a safe place.
